Hey Chad,
I love your work!! I am always inspired by your style, and love to do illustrations myself on Photoshop/Illustrator. I assume you use a tablet for your work, and wanted to know if you have any suggestions on that topic. I was looking into purchasing one and wanted your advice if you had any. Also how is your process when working on your images? Thanks Chad and I can’t wait to receive the Jinxk print I ordered!!!
Hi Nicolas, thanks a lot! I do a lot of my sketching on paper, because that’s my favorite way of working through ideas. I do a lot of the detailed digital stuff on a Motion Computing LE1700 tablet PC, which you can get used on eBay for cheap! I then do most of the coloring in Photoshop using a Wacom Tablet (I think it’s 12 x 12 or around there). I don’t do much drawing directly on the Wacom, though I used to. I posted a tutorial on my process a few years ago that might help you out: http://www.chadsellcomics.com/2011/04/drag-race-essay/
